Taxi or train from BER: compare the full journey
BER station sits below Terminal 1 on level U2. The airport lists FEX and RE20 at about 14 minutes to Südkreuz, 19 minutes to Potsdamer Platz and 23 minutes to Hauptbahnhof. S9 runs every 20 minutes via Alexanderplatz, Friedrichstraße and Zoologischer Garten, among other stops. Add terminal walking, waiting and the final leg to your accommodation. A road trip into central Berlin can take roughly 30–60 minutes depending on destination and traffic; this is a planning estimate, not a guarantee.

Worked cost examples
Train tickets to Hauptbahnhof cost €5.00 for one adult, €10.00 for two and €20.00 for four (Berlin ABC). A hotel beyond the station may add an onward ride or walk. Taxi and private transfer charges apply to the vehicle or confirmed booking and depend on route and offer; €59 is not a Berlin taxi tariff. Four travellers with large cases may value a direct ride, while one traveller with hand luggage heading to a station will usually spend less by rail.
