Taxi, private transfer and rail are priced differently
A taxi from the rank follows the applicable taxi tariff. Berlin.de gives broad examples for journeys from the city to BER of about €58 from Alexanderplatz and €63 from Bahnhof Zoo; route, traffic, waiting and surcharges affect the actual fare. An advertised €59 private-transfer starting price is not an official taxi fare. It refers only to a one-way, pre-booked journey on a route offered at that price by the private booking partner. Only the partner's booking system can confirm whether it is available for your journey.
The partner calculates the total from pickup and destination, date, vehicle, passengers, luggage and booking terms. Review it before payment.

- Taxi from the city to BER: Berlin.de suggests about €58 from Alexanderplatz or €63 from Bahnhof Zoo as broad guidance, not a fare for every route or direction.

How vehicle size and luggage affect the price
The booking form shows the total before payment. Vehicle selection must include every adult and child as well as every item of luggage. As a guide, a saloon may suit up to three passengers with standard luggage, a minivan up to seven and a minibus up to twelve. Full occupancy, large suitcases, pushchairs or sports equipment can require the next vehicle class. The specific offer and confirmed capacity are always decisive.
Compare more than an advertised starting price: review the route, vehicle, waiting time, extras and cancellation terms for your journey to or from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).

Is an airport shuttle cheaper than a taxi?
A shared shuttle can cost less per passenger, but fixed stops and a timetable may add a final journey to your hotel. A private transfer is priced for the vehicle and takes your party directly to the address. Compare the total cost, luggage allowance and waiting rules for the same journey.
