About Potsdamer Platz
Potsdamer Platz brings together modern architecture, offices, hotels and cultural venues. The area spans several streets and entrances; a full address helps the driver reach the right building.
Direct train from BER to Potsdamer Platz
The airport station is below Terminal 1 on level U2; from Terminal 2 follow the signs through Terminal 1. The FEX and RE20 stop at Potsdamer Platz on their way to Hauptbahnhof, so there is normally no change of train. Check the departure board and any disruption before leaving the terminal. The BER airport transport guide lists the current routes. For an adult travelling from BER into central Berlin, check the Berlin ABC single-ticket fare and conditions before purchase.
The station is not every Potsdamer Platz address
Enter the full street address when planning the last leg. The Ritz-Carlton is at Potsdamer Platz 3; The Playce shopping area lists Alte Potsdamer Straße 7. Both are in the same district, but the best station exit or car stopping point depends on your building. If you are staying at the Ritz-Carlton, use our hotel-specific route page. For meetings, ask your host which entrance is open to visitors; the name “Potsdamer Platz” alone is too broad for a reliable door-to-door booking.
When is rail the easier option?
The direct train is a strong choice if your destination is close to the station and you can carry your luggage through it. It avoids road traffic and needs no advance car reservation. Compare the complete trip from baggage claim to your actual door: platform access, the station exit and any final walk matter with children, several cases or limited mobility. A pre-booked car is more convenient when the destination is farther from the station or the group wants to stay together. The partner shows the total for the selected route and vehicle before payment; the advertised starting price is not a taxi tariff.

Pickup and return journey
For an airport pickup, supply the flight number and the exact hotel, office or venue address. The meeting point and waiting terms come from the booking confirmation. For a return trip to BER, allow for check-in and security as well as the road or rail journey; consult your airline for its deadlines. The BER meeting-point guide and our Berlin-to-airport page explain the two directions separately.
