About InnoTrans Berlin
InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for rail and transport technology, held every two years at Berlin's exhibition grounds. Alongside the halls, an outdoor track area shows real trains and vehicles.
When is the next InnoTrans?
The organiser confirms 19–22 September 2028 for the next trade fair. InnoTrans takes place every two years and spans 42 halls plus an outdoor display with 3,500 metres of track. Check the official visitor page for opening times, tickets and any changes before booking travel. Our Berlin trade-fair guide covers other events at the exhibition grounds.
Choose an entrance before setting a car destination
“Messe Berlin” is not a single pickup point. Your hall, the track display, CityCube and hub27 can call for different entrances. Ask your exhibitor or host for the hall number and consult the organiser's current site plan. Give the driver that entrance and a nearby street address instead of only the fair's name. If colleagues arrive on different flights, agree on a single meeting place and confirm how much luggage or display equipment the vehicle must carry. The BER-to-Messe route page explains the wider area.
Compare the organiser's shuttle, rail and a booked car
InnoTrans currently lists a free bus shuttle from BER among its visitor services. Treat its schedule, eligibility and 2028 operation as details to confirm on the official InnoTrans website closer to departure. Public transport may also work well, but choose the station for your actual entrance using a live route planner. A pre-booked car is useful if a team needs to travel together with cases or samples. The booking partner displays the full price for the chosen route and vehicle before payment; a taxi taken at the airport rank follows the taxi tariff.

Departure after the fair
On the final day, allow time to leave your hall, reach the agreed pickup point and pass through BER security. Traffic around the grounds and the motorway can vary; a fixed minute estimate would be unreliable. Book a pickup at a clearly named entrance, check your airline's deadline and leave a buffer. For a group, include every passenger and bag in the reservation. Our group-transfer guide explains vehicle sizes; the return-to-BER guide covers departure planning.
