About Berlin trade fair taxi
Berlin's exhibition grounds under the Funkturm offer around 170,000 m² of indoor space, plus CityCube Berlin and hub27 on the southern edge. They host trade and public fairs year-round, from food and travel to building technology.
How long does a taxi from BER to the exhibition grounds take?
The grounds under the Funkturm radio tower (now marketed as Berlin ExpoCenter City) sit on the far western side of the city, roughly 35 km from the terminals. Your driver takes the A113 and the A100 city motorway; outside rush hour that is 35 to 50 minutes, on a fair Monday morning between 7:30 and 9:30 it can be 70. Rebuilding work on the A100 bridges near the Funkturm junction pushes extra traffic onto the streets around the halls, so leave a buffer.
During big fairs the taxi rank at the terminal gets long queues, and the meter fare follows the regulated tariff of whichever licensing area the cab belongs to. A pre-booked airport taxi avoids both: you see the total price for the whole vehicle before booking, and your driver is waiting in the arrivals hall. Route details for the grounds are on our BER to Messe Berlin page.
At the grounds: which entrance for which hall
- North entrance – Masurenallee by the Funkturm, with the classic taxi rank right outside. Good for the halls on the northern loop.
- East entrance – Messedamm, opposite the closed ICC. Handy if your stand is in the eastern halls.
- South entrance – Jafféstraße, next to S-Bahn Messe Süd. Closest to CityCube Berlin and to hub27 (gate 25).
Tell your driver the hall number, not just "the Messe": the walk between the north and south entrances inside the grounds can take 15 minutes.

Getting back after the halls close
Most halls shut around 18:00, and the rank on Masurenallee fills within minutes. Book your return for 30 to 45 minutes after closing and name the gate nearest your last meeting. The A100 southbound is busiest between 16:00 and 19:00; for an evening flight, allow at least 75 minutes from the grounds. The Berlin to BER page covers departure timing.
What to put in the booking
Your flight number, the hotel or hall, and anything bulky: roll-up banners and sample cases go in the boot, so say so. Stand teams of six or more fit a minibus. Official dates are on the Messe Berlin site ↗.
